SAN DIEGO – A South Park man pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter Thursday for shooting his girlfriend's sister inside a duplex they shared.
Andrew Joseph Reyna, 21, is expected to be given credit for time he has already served in jail and be placed on probation, according to court records.
Reyna fatally shot Riki Rene Watkins, 25, in December in a home he shared with the victim and her sister.
Reyna was in bed after a night of drinking when he heard a disturbance, grabbed a shotgun and went into the hall, where the shooting took place, according to court records.
Reyna has always said the shooting was accidental. He is set to be sentenced Aug. 21.
