Golfers are about to get the 18 holes on the Torrey Pines North Course back for the first time in seven months.
The city announced the full North Course will open for play Saturday, two days earlier than originally planned after the cleanup that followed June's U.S. Open on the South Course.
City Golf Manager Jon Maddern said carts will be restricted to outside of the ropes while the golf staff completes its annual overseeding with rye grass in preparation for next year's Buick Invitational. Several wide swaths will be considered ground under repair while the grass continues to grow, including on the first, fourth and ninth fairways.
Tee times are available by phone on the city's golf reservation system.
