Jeremy Tyler says he's turning pro and heading to Europe, but the basketball honors continue to flow in for the former San Diego High student.
Tyler, who has dropped out of San Diego High and is being home-schooled, was one of four San Diego Section players earning multiple all-state honors from CalHiSports.com.
In addition to the players, Mater Dei Catholic's David Monroe was selected the girls Division IV Coach of the Year after guiding the Crusaders to their first state title.
Boys all-state award winners:
Juniors – Foothills Christian's Troy Leaf and Tyler (state Junior of the Year).
Sophomores – Maranatha Christian's Chen Cai and Hoover's Angelo Chol (state Sophomore of the Year).
Freshmen – Torrey Pines' Joe Rahon and Poway's Sam Beeler.
Division I – Tyler, Vista's Quincy Lawson and El Camino's Luke Evans.
Division II – Chol.
Division IV – Bishop's Malik Love.
Division V – Leaf, Cai and Foothills Christian's Jvonte Brooks.
Girls all-state award winners:
Division I – Eastlake's Cheyenne Curley-Payne.
Division II – Mount Miguel's Danesia Williamson and El Capitan's Ashley Duffy.
Division III – Cathedral Catholic's Victoria Lippert.
Division IV – Mater Dei Catholic's Soulijah Evans, Ebone Henry and Jhazmine Lynch and Bishop's Inga Orekhova and Gizelle Studevent.
Division V – Christian Life's Kimmy Iverson.
