For Their Benefit is a weekly listing of activities sponsored by nonprofit organizations to raise funds for programs that serve San Diegans.

“Romance in Tuscany,” the 32nd annual Heart & Hand Ball that benefits Home of Guiding Hands, which provides help for San Diegans with developmental disabilities. 5:30 p.m. to midnight Feb. 11, at the Omni San Diego Hotel, 675 L St., San Diego. $200 includes cocktails, dancing and entertainment by the Benny Hollman Band, a gourmet dinner and live and silent auctions. “Share Your Heart,” an auction, wine tasting and casino night, benefiting the Burn Institute, which provides fire and burn prevention education and funds burn research and treatment. 7 to 11 p.m. Feb. 11, Hall of Champions, 2131 Pan American Plaza, Balboa Park, San Diego. $75 in advance, $85 at the door.
