Governor to ask Fox for immigration help

SACRAMENTO – Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said yesterday that he'll tell Mexican President Vicente Fox his government needs to do more to stop illegal immigration into the United States when the two meet today in Sacramento.

Schwarzenegger said he wouldn't be confrontational, but he will suggest Mexico pay for health care, education, incarceration and other immigration-related costs incurred by the state.

Fox is scheduled to spend today and tomorrow in California at the tail end of a four-day trip to the United States. It will be his first visit to the state since 2001.
