Last week, I checked out Presidio Park for the first time. While in an area across from the Serra Museum, I came upon a small, old, five-sided building. I walked up the outdoor stairs. On the roof was a large pentagram laid out in the tile. At the center of the pentagram: remains of a large red candle.

Simpson served as a famously straight-talking Republican senator from Wyoming from 1979 to 1997 and as a member of the House of Representatives from 1964 to 1977. He was co-author, with Kentucky Democratic Rep. Romano Mazzoli, of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
