He accepted a plastic bag of toiletries, along with a neatly folded plaid blanket for a prime lower bunk inside the large tent that has been erected in Barrio Logan.

Ten of San Diego County's leading companies, three universities and Navy Region Southwest are among the big players that will unveil an alliance today aimed at tackling regional environmental problems, including the gases linked to climate change.
