The Poway Gymnastics team was awarded second place in Level 4 and Level 5 at the South Sectional Oct. 21 and 22 at the Palomar YMCA. The performance qualified 23 gymnasts for the 2006 Southern California State Championships next month.
Poway Gymnastics received 15 first-place (gold), 17 second-place (silver) and eight third-place (bronze) medals, including five first-place, one second-place and two third-place all-around medals.
