NASCAR Craftsman Trucks: Silverado 350, Fort Worth, Texas (147 laps, 1.5-mile oval; Speed Channel, 5:30 p.m.) – Looking at the schedule, points leader Todd Bodine has become an odds-on favorite to win his first championship. Not only is he the defending race champion, Bodine has won three of the last four Texas truck races. And Bodine, who leads Johnny Benson by 86 points, is the defending champion in each of the season's final three races. Mike Skinner has won the past four truck poles at Texas. Mike Bliss last week won his first race in four years at Atlanta.

NASCAR Busch Series: O'Reilly Challenge, Fort Worth, Texas (200 laps; TNT, 11 a.m.) – Coming off his eighth win of the season, Kevin Harvick is also the defending champ of this race. Former Indy 500 and IndyCar champion Juan Pablo Montoya finished 11th in his NASCAR debut after running in the top five most of the day.

NASCAR Nextel Cup: Dickies 500, Fort Worth, Texas (334 laps; Channel 7-39, 11:30 a.m.) – With three races to go, the battle for the Nextel Cup title looks to be between points leader and 2003 champion Matt Kenseth and El Cajon native Jimmie Johnson. They are separated by 26 points, the closest margin at this juncture in the three-year history of the Chase for the Championship. Johnson has finished in the top five in five of his six Texas starts while Kenseth has finished in the top three in his last two Texas starts. Kasey Kahne won the April race at Texas. David Ragan, 20, has been approved by NASCAR to run this week for Roush Racing.
