Francis Eugene Hotelling, 78, of San Diego died Sunday. He was born in Canton, Pa., and was a purchasing agent for Campbell Shipbuilding Industries. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Fidelity and the Fine Woodworking Association.
Survivors include his wife, Carole Hotelling; daughters, Julie Zukas and Michele Nolta; sons, Ken Hotelling and Brian Hotelling; sister, Eunice Crumb; brothers, Russell Hotelling, Lawrence Hotelling and Kenneth Hotelling; and seven grandchildren.
Services: private.
Interment: Brown Cemetery, Pennsylvania.
Arrangements: Merkley-Mitchell Mortuary.
BETTY JANE JOHNSON

Betty Jane Johnson, 74, of San Diego died Monday. She was born in Washington, Pa., and was an administrative analyst for the San Diego Fire Department.
Survivors include her sons, Larry Johnson of Redondo Beach and Gregory Johnson of Los Angeles; sister, Teenie Watts; one grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Anderson-Ragsdale Mortuary, 5050 Federal Blvd., San Diego.
Services: 1 p.m. Monday, Bethel Baptist Church, 1962 Euclid Ave., San Diego.
Interment: after services, Greenwood Memorial Park, 4300 Imperial Ave., San Diego.
