Army deaths: Sgt. Kraig D. Foyteck, 26, of Skokie, Ill., was killed Monday in Baghdad by small-arms fire. Sgt. Michael R. Weidemann, 23, of Newport, R.I., died Tuesday in Hit when an explosive detonated near his vehicle.

Marine deaths: Cpl. Gary A. Koehler, 21, of Ypsilanti, Mich., died Wednesday in Anbar province. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. Lance Cpl. Minhee Kim, 20, of Ann Arbor, Mich., died Wednesday in Anbar province. He was assigned to the Marine Forces Reserves 1st Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Lansing, Mich.

Soldiers mock 'Carry': A group of Minnesota National Guard soldiers in Iraq made a comically misspelled sign mocking recent comments by Sen. John Kerry. The photo shows eight soldiers holding a sign that says: “Halp us Jon Carry – We R stuck hear n Irak.” The Massachusetts Democrat said this week that people who don't study and do their homework were likely to “get stuck in Iraq.” Kerry has since apologized, saying he botched a joke meant to be about President Bush.
