The Drew Ford/Kiwanis Club of La Mesa Soap Box Derby will begin at 9 a.m. tomorrow on Junior High Drive, adjacent to La Mesa Middle School. The derby will continue in single and double elimination rounds until about 5 p.m. Information: (619) 469-7353.

La Mesa Historical Society will present its first Historic Home Tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow. The tour will highlight six La Mesa historic homes and buildings dating from 1894.
