CRIME WATCH
Man hit, ear bitten off in road dispute

January 28, 2007

HILLCREST – A man was attacked late Friday night after a roadside confrontation on Redwood Street, police said.

The 43-year-old victim was punched and part of his ear was bitten off shortly after he and two friends stopped their car on the side of the road. The victim turned on his hazard lights, but another driver pulled up next to his car and told him to move, police said.

The assailant then got out of his vehicle and made an anti-gay slur before attacking the man and driving away, police said.

Authorities were investigating the incident.
