MYRTLE KLEINSTERN

July 23, 1911-Jan. 25, 2007

Myrtle Kleinstern, 95, of La Jolla died Jan. 25. She was born in Illinois and was a bookkeeper for an insurance company.

Survivors include her nephew, Gerald Jensen of San Francisco.

Services: none announced.

Arrangements: El Camino Memorial-Pacific Beach Mortuary.

VIOLET NORMA LING

May 6, 1919-Jan. 28, 2007

Violet Norma Ling, 87, of San Marcos died Jan. 28. She was born in Scotland, S.D., and was a service representative for Pacific Bell. She was a member of Valle Verde Activity Center and president of the Pac Bell Bowling League.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Ling; daughters, Leah Steadman of San Marcos and Deborah Seror of Hidden Hills; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, San Marcos United Methodist Church, 800 W. Mission Road, San Marcos.

Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park, 4300 Imperial Ave., San Diego.

DOROTHY IONE LUSTER

March 28, 1917-Jan. 27, 2007

Dorothy Ione Luster, 89, of San Diego died Jan. 27. She was born in Omaha, Neb., and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Mortimer Luster; daughter, Stephanie Bravmann of Washington state; and two grandchildren.

Services: private.

Arrangements: Greenwood Mortuary.

RALPH MARS McFANN

Aug. 20, 1920-Feb. 5, 2007

Ralph Mars McFann, 86, of Santee died Monday. He was born in Allen, Okla., and was a beer distributor for John Lenore & Co. He was retired from the Marine Corps and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of El Cajon Senior Softball.

Survivors include his sons, Steve McFann of Santee and Mark McFann of El Cajon; sister, Joann Davis of Baxter Springs, Kan.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services: 3 p.m. tomorrow, College Avenue Baptist Church, 4747 College Ave., San Diego.

Arrangements: Featheringill Mortuary.

ROBERT MONTANO

March 15, 1975-Jan. 29, 2007

Robert Montaño, 31, of National City died Jan. 29. He was born in San Diego and was a construction worker.

Survivors include his four children; parents, Fausto and Guadalupe Montaño; sisters, Lupe Mendiola, Carmen Montaño and Laura Martinez; and brother, Fausto Montaño II.

Visitation: 4 to 9 p.m. today, El Camino Memorial-National City Chapel, 607 National City Blvd., National City.

Services: 10 a.m. tomorrow, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1770 Kearney Ave., San Diego.

Interment: Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Drive, San Diego.

LEDUNG NGUYEN

Oct. 16, 1942-Feb. 5, 2007

Ledung Nguyen, 64, of San Diego died Monday. She was born in Vietnam and was a government accountant.

Survivors include her husband, Than Nguyen; daughter, Linhdung Pham of La Jolla; son, Thanhlong Pham of San Diego; and two grandchildren.

Mass: 10:30 a.m. today, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4177 Marlborough Ave., San Diego.

Arrangements: Clairemont Mortuary.
