Among high school records, basketball's career scoring mark is one of the most glamorous. Yet it has become increasingly difficult to hold. Just one year after Chase Budinger passed Santa Fe Christian's Nick Corso atop the all-time San Diego Section list, topping out at 2,934 points, Crawford's Tyrone Shelley needs just 63 to pass the former La Costa Canyon All-American.

LaDainian Tomlinson's father and a man believed to be Tomlinson's half-brother were killed in a car crash yesterday near Tomlinson's hometown of Waco, Texas.
