Stage 12: A hilly 110.9-mile route from Montpellier westward to Castres.

Winner: Belgium's Tom Boonen won a field sprint for his second stage victory of this year's Tour, tightening his hold on the green sprinters jersey.

Yellow jersey: Michael Rasmussen of Denmark kept the overall lead by finishing safely in 47th place.

Next stage: Stage 13 today is a hilly 33.6-mile individual time trial around Albi that is expected to cost Rasmussen his overall lead.
