Malashock Dance is taking a page from TV's “So You Think You Can Dance” playbook for its 20th anniversary season benefit.
Its Sept. 15 show at Qualcomm Hall, “Malashock Thinks You Can Dance!,” will pair “celebrity contestants” with professional dancers chosen by Mary Murphy, one of the judges on the ABC TV show and the director of San Diego's Champion Ballroom Academy.
The contestants are:

Walther-Meade, a community leader who has served on the boards of Bravo San Diego, the San Diego Museum of Art and inSITE; Rana Sampson, an “international crime consultant” and wife of mayor Jerry Sanders; Richard Warburg, an attorney with Foley & Lardner and a board member for Malashock Dance.
