Caliente line: Rutgers by 11½.

Overview: Rutgers RB Ray Rice (third in nation with 1,732 rushing, sixth with 21 TDs) may be pondering early move to NFL. QB Mike Teel's sore thumb should be better by now. . . . Ball State QB Nate Davis led MAC in QB rating, 3,376 passing, only 6 INTs in 430 passes, threw school-record 27 TD passes. WR Dante Love (87 catches, 1,229 yards receiving), TE Darius Hill (56 catches, 9 TDs) are preferred targets. Ball State defense forces turnovers (led MAC with 27 gained) but also gives up lots of yards (88th in nation in total defense, 418.7 ypg).
