62: Percentage of the public in favor of capital punishment for people convicted of murder, according to a 2007 poll by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Become a volunteer trail guide at Mission Trails Regional Park. A 10-week training course begins 8:30 a.m. Jan. 12, with classroom instruction Wednesday evenings and field study sessions Saturday mornings. Guest speakers will highlight the plants, wildlife, history, geology, Kumeyaay culture and much more of the park. LOCAL SPOTLIGHT: JEWISH PARENTING
