Survey Says

75: Percentage of women who said belly dancing was a spiritual experience for them, according to a study by Rachel Kraus, a Ball State University sociologist. The 74 women, who have danced for many years, also reported spirituality to be an important aspect of their lives, though they rarely attend worship services and often are not affiliated with Judeo-Christian religions.

LOCAL SPOTLIGHT: GET MUDDY

At noon tomorrow, Skyline Church will hold its third annual San Diego Mud Run to benefit military families and after-school programs. The course, covering the hills around the church's Rancho San Diego campus at 11330 Campo Road, begins in the upper parking lot with a water spray and includes mud pits along the 5K and 10K journeys. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park is seeking volunteers interested in learning about and demonstrating daily activities in San Diego during the mid-1800s. Opportunities are also available for administrative duties, period sewing and craft making. A series of five training classes will start at 11 a.m. April 19.
