April 18 to 20: Green Power Prix-View, a lifestyle and alternative-energy expo, is being held in conjunction with Long Beach Grand Prix. Featured will be displays of alternative energy vehicles and on-circuit activities featuring vehicles ranging from hydrogen-powered cars to robotic vehicles. Information: gplb.com/greenpower.html. April 19: City of Chula Vista Go Green and Clean Car Show, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Otay Ranch Town Center Mall, 2015 Birch Road, Chula Vista. April 20: San Diego Earth Fair 2008 Cleaner Car Concourse, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Balboa Park. This show of energy-efficient and alternative-fuel vehicles is part of the 19th annual EarthFair. The event is focused more toward San Diego State students, but the automotive portion will include three electric cars from the Electric Vehicle Association of San Diego, a hybrid bus from the Metropolitan Transit System, several hybrid cars from various green companies and a plug-in conversion Prius. April 22: Electric Vehicle Association of San Diego Meeting, 7 p.m., San Diego Regional Transportation Center, Interstate 15 & El Cajon Boulevard. Membership is not required; meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month (January through November). Information: evaosd.com.
