He strikes out nine Giants to tie Roger Clemens for second in career strikeouts in Arizona's loss. Johnson, who left the game with a 3-2 lead after seven innings, has struck out 19 – in 13 innings – in his past two starts to tie Clemens with 4,672 strikeouts.

Aaron Harang

Weakened by his relief stint against the Padres in the 18-inning Reds loss Sunday, he lasts four innings against the Pirates. Unable to keep his pitches down, Harang gives up a season-high six runs and matches his season high by allowing 10 hits.
