If the San Diego jazz scene had an official dance, that would be it – a cyclical series of steps that represent both progress and regression, triumphs and setbacks. This month alone has witnessed several landmarks, including the 20th anniversary of the acclaimed Jazz at the Athenaeum concert series at the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library in La Jolla and the first anniversary of Anthology, downtown San Diego's dazzling live-music supper club.
