Alpine Crown Hills July 4th Parade: Parade begins at 10 a.m. at Gentian Way and Victoria Park Terrace in Alpine. Floats, horses, llamas, antique cars and motorcycles, music and more.
El Cajon Picnic and Fireworks: Festivities begin at noon with refreshments, entertainment and children's activities. Kennedy Park, 1675 E. Madison Ave., El Cajon. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

San Diego County Fair, Del Mar Fairgrounds: 9 p.m. A 7:30 p.m. performance by the Navy Band Southwest will be followed by fireworks and a concert by KC & the Sunshine Band.
