Tired of the same old trip to the store? Try one of several weekend street markets instead. BEST OF THE REST

Lemon Grove will celebrate the 80th birthday of “The Big Lemon,” the city's iconic, 3,500-pound civic symbol at Broadway and Lemon Grove Avenue. The event, including free lemon drops, lollipops and balloons, will begin at 10 a.m. today in front of the lemon. Information: (619) 460-4353.
