The San Diego Union-Tribune

WALK-IN CLOSET
Fit for a queen

July 6, 2008

Today, we go to the temporary apartment of Kate Aldrich, a visiting mezzo-soprano at the San Diego Opera, where she played Queen Elizabeth in “Mary, Queen of Scots.”

CRISSY PASCUAL / Union-Tribune
As an opera singer, Kate Aldrich knows what it's like to live out of a suitcase.

The traveling opera singer shows us what it's like to live out of a suitcase. Kate plays dress-up with us, and we get to see her not-so-diva side. To see what Kate has packed, visit
uniontrib.com/more/closet.

In our online video feature “Walk-In Closet,” we get an up-close-and-personal tour of someone's closet. We don't care about your skeletons; we just want to see your favorite T-shirts or your lucky socks and, of course, that amazing collection of shoes.

“Walk-In Closet” appears the first Sunday of every month.
