EL CAJON – A two-alarm fire damaged a Chinese restaurant early yesterday, authorities said.
The blaze broke out shortly before 3 a.m. at the Lucky Dragon Chinese Restaurant at 342 N. Magnolia Ave., near Main Street, according to the El Cajon Fire Department.
As crews arrived, heavy smoke was coming from the restaurant. The fire was knocked down in approximately 30 minutes. The building was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.
Damage to the restaurant and its contents was estimated to be $200,000. Firefighters from El Cajon, Santee and the San Miguel Fire Protection district fought the fire.
